For your first contract, choose a human brigand dungeon. They are generally the easiest for new players. Once inside, your goal is to never fight more than one enemy at a time. Use the "shout" command or move around corners to lure single enemies away from their groups. Always fight near the entrance stairs so you have a quick escape route if things go wrong.
