What does the future hold for Crowded House? Following the success of the Red Hot Summer Tour and the moving Bondi Beach performance, the band has shown they are still a formidable live act. However, their touring schedule for the remainder of 2026 appears relatively quiet, with no major international tours currently confirmed.
In 2007, Crowded House reunited for a one-off performance at the New Zealand music festival, Bumbershoot. This was followed by a full-scale reunion, and the band released their sixth studio album, "Time on Earth" (2007). Beyond live performance and new music, Crowded House has taken significant steps to preserve their legacy. In mid-2025, the band put out a public call for rare fan-footage, audio, and interviews to assist in creating a "definitive documentary about the band past and future". The production team is particularly keen to find old audio and footage from prior to 1997, including behind-the-scenes clips, film outtakes, and any "unaired gems". This project promises to offer an unprecedented look into the band's history, charting their journey from the original lineup of Neil Finn, Nick Seymour, and the late Paul Hester, all the way to the current family-inclusive iteration.
